Thaw
Through the frigid Air The sun reached Down And scorched the Ice Loosening Winter’s frozen Grip And the thaw Began
Pieces
It’s the pieces When combined That finish the design In a mosaic collection Gathered over a lifetime It’s the pieces Mended together Where broken edge Meets broken edge That turns imperfection Into a masterpiece instead

The wind Blows in From the North Showing force From the South Bringing warmth From the East Like a beast From the West A welcome guest The wind Blows in
Glow
Glow So others may know They have a friend in the darkness
Time
A keeper Of lost seconds And precious minutes won; A hand Counting the hours Until the day is done; A face Looking back at you In solemn apathy; A guardian That’s honest In the number that you see; *** Time *** Will tell the details Offering no apology

Comfort in a time of need Encouragement when hope has fleed; Truth even when it hurts Lies in search of new converts; Enrichment for the mind Fantasy that’s fun to find; Spoken through loose lips Written with pen tips; Read before bed Unspoken inside our head; WORDS hold the power To delight or devour
