Author Bio:

A lifelong resident of New England, Jessica has lived in Massachusetts, Vermont, and Rhode Island (in no particular order!). Currently, she calls Rhode Island home. Jessica held various administrative office positions before the birth of her son, Joshua. Due to his medical complications, Jessica then assumed her most important role to date (and most definitely of her lifetime) as Joshua’s Mom, medical caregiver, and advocate. Her special son taught her so many lessons during his 14 years of life. These life lessons have shaped how she sees the world from a positive perspective, which is directly reflected in her writing.

Today, she lives with her husband and an adorable rescue dog from Texas. Jessica finds inspiration in nature. Exploring the majestic coastline of her state is one of her favorite things to do. For Jessica and her husband, these trips provide a time to reflect on their beloved son, Joshua. Jessica continues to find inspiration from her son in all areas of her life.

A note from Jessica:

I’ve always loved to write. It wasn’t until my son passed that I took the next step and published the children’s book on grieving, Your Special Star. I have since published my debut novel, Naming the Bits Between, an uplifting adventure about the cycle of life: loss, discovery, and finding renewed purpose. I also frequently publish unique works, poetry, and musings, so check back often!

I have always lived in beautiful New England. The ever-changing seasons in this region are usually a major influence on what I write about. I also have a cute rescue dog from Texas who inspires me! The tagline on my website is Sentiments Inspired by Life. That really does sum it all up… I write stories based on what I’ve experienced and the nuggets of truth I’ve found and now carry with me. I hope to learn something new every day and always try to see life from a positive perspective!
