Perfect Day

When the peepers start to sing

Announcing another winter’s end

You’ll know just where to find him

As the first signs of spring begin;

Carried on the wind

Nature’s chorus lures him back

To his favorite place of all

To work or just relax;

Where crickets charmingly chirp

And fishes lazily swim

As he gazes upon the pond

Another perfect day begins;

Soaking up the rays

He pauses for a minute

From picking sticks and digging dirt

To watch the critters that live in it;

When the sun sets

On another perfect day

He’ll follow the amber lit path

To where Mom and Ollie wait
