I can’t grow vegetables

Though believe me, how I try

The plants grow tall

Oh, the vegetables, they die

The sun gets too hot

Some get root rot

I watered them, too wet

Did I water them? I forget

And then there are pests

The caterpillar never rests

Chewing low to high

I think I’ll head to the market
