She No Longer Wept

They fell like the rain

Steadily tapping on the roof

Racing down the gutters

Puddling on the earth

Dirt became mud

Heavy, sticky, and thick

Building slowly

It poured down quick

They fell like the rain

The tears on her cheeks

Slowly absorbed

By the pillow beneath

One last tear

Warm, soft, and thick

Building slowly

It poured down quick

The rain clouds parted

She no longer wept

Thanks for stopping by!
