Tired Feet

Tired feet shuffle

Down worn dusty paths

Not knowing where they’re going

Not finding a way back

To the place, they used to know

To a time, they weren’t so tired

When the road that lay ahead

Was swiftly traveled and admired

With a lightness of step

On a path barely worn

When feet moved with purpose

Not yet heavy and forlorn

They carried their travelers

Step by steady step

Gathering stories of a lifetime

Their footprints forever kept

From tired feet that shuffled

Down worn dusty paths

Happy how far they’ve gotten

No regrets when looking back

Thanks for stopping by!
