Patrol and Protect

There are no secrets

On Mulberry Street

Thanks to the canines

That cannot keep

Their sensitive noses

Out of neighborhood news

They’re first to sniff out

Visitors and clues

A car that passes

A knock on the door

A rogue raccoon

A package from the store

It starts with one bark

Soon followed by more

The street has its own

Guard dog corps

Who patrol and protect

Inside and outdoors

Thanks for stopping by!
