The compassionate gardener
Leaves no plants behind
Instead, they relocate
When there’s a change in design
They diligently dig
Each plant from the dirt
And carefully inspect
To make sure none are hurt
They gently hold them
They whisper good cheer
They reassure each plant
Their new home is near
“It’s just over there
Where the sun is warm
At the edge of the water
Where the honey bees swarm.”
Soon, the plants blossomed
To show their love
For the compassionate gardener
Who smiled down from above
