She found a letter
Tucked away in a box
Stored in the attic
With a heart-shaped lock
Its beautiful penmanship
Swirled and danced
Around emotion
And circumstance
It told of a love story
At the time couldn’t be
Only shared in a letter
For their eyes to see
Then kept locked away
For so many years
Until she found the letter
Until she felt their tears
She knew for them
What she must do
She framed the letter
And hung it, too
Now, the poetic words
Freely danced on the page
Their hidden love story
Finally, come of age
