Seashell crumbs
Showed us the way
Down the beach
A late summer day
To a scavenger hunt
Through tangled seaweed
Where a seagull swooped in
And started to feed
On a soggy French fry
That floated by
The tide quickly switched
From low to high
We found treasure
Under the setting sun
Our pockets grew heavy
With seashell crumbs
As the rising water
Raced the end of day
The seashell crumbs
Were quickly swept away
Gobbled up by the tide
One-by-one
This scavenger hunt
The tide had won
Not bad
