Bike and Bumblebee

On a back-country road

He caught up to me

Was it my yellow shirt

He flew close to see

Maybe he suspected

I was one of his own

Another bumblebee

On my way home

Me, on my bike

And he on his wings

Discovered together

What the journey would bring

In tandem, we traveled

By sights and sounds

Until we saw daisies

Growing tall from the ground

I saw him tip his wing

As he slowly left my side

To flirt with the daisies

As I continued my ride

Thankful for the company

Of a bumblebee

Thankful for the freedom

My bike has given me

Thanks for stopping by!
