Drunken Dirt

It was on the banks

Of the rushing stream

Where wild mosses grew

Plush, damp, and green

That a tiny yellow bud

Began to flirt

Peeking a sunny head

From drunken dirt

Unwilling to wait

For the sun to rise

Higher and higher

In a summer sky

Singing birds confirmed

Spring had arrived

Thanks for stopping by!
