Bending Not Breaking

Within the span of an hour

All changed

The sun had set

Only last light remained

~

When the trees began

To tremble in fear

In the slightest breeze

They began to hear

~

Rumors of a storm

The big one spun and spun

From tree to tree

About damage, it had done

~

With no wind present

Branch by branch dropped

The grove’s strength in numbers

Each tree had forgot

~

Soon only one stood

Weakest of all

Bending not breaking

The sapling stood tall

Thanks for stopping by!
