Ruins

Ruins are a reminder
Of days gone by
Of simpler things
And how fast time flies
~
They’re childhood memories
At the amusement park
In the hot summer sun
Until well past dark
~
When the park lights
Would brighten the night
On musical rides
Spinning under moonlight
~
Though time’s ticked on
Still pieces survive
Some as rusted ruins
Some as memories we keep alive

Thanks for stopping by!
