Be vigilant and see

A change will soon be coming

For both you and me;

It may not be tomorrow

But come it will, you’ll see

Just like the shift in weather

A change drifts in, for you and me;

For some, you may fly south

Others, ignore the warning

Of the changing pattern in the wind

As gusts turn cold and stormy;

And still a seasoned few

Who’ve grown accustomed to change

Prepare with thickened feathers

Knowing hardship leads to gain;

To be revealed in due season

As hardship slowly melts away

There’s a change ahead, for you and me

Found in the warmth of a Spring day
