Reaching into

Sky of Night

Darkness tries

To block the light;

Tries to spread

And blot away

The subtle color

Marking end of Day;

But Moon resists

Darkness’ determined fight

By enlisting Stars

As warriors of night;

Night warriors

Protecting Sky

Until Darkness flees

When Sun does rise
