If a penny, you one day see

It is a gift to you from me

A small token of my pure love

Sent to Earth from above

If it’s not shiny, clean, or new

Its intention is tried and true

It’s a simple sign that I am near

To bring a smile and dry your tears

To keep and carry as you go

To find fountains in which to throw
