To the stars above

Out of the twelve

It’s the month they love

As lights are strung

On the trees with care

Holiday cheer

Glows in the air

With radiant warmth

December shines bright

In part for the stars

Who for a moment delight

In looking down

At the twinkling show

And it’s at that moment

The stars truly know

The gift they are

To the earth below
