Endless Blessings
Flowers are blooming Sun is shining Trees are budding So, let’s stop whining And get to counting The endless blessings Waiting patiently For us to find

Do you see the landscape Desolate with snow, Or do you see the landscape With an ethereal glow? Though the ground is frozen Growth has begun Spring flowers are born Of snow and sun
Signs of spring are in the air So, let’s shed winter’s cares Let’s wash them, fold them Hang them out to dry And with a bit of luck Away, they’ll fly
The trees bloom In shades of pink Bright white Light purple Cotton candy dreams To remind us Life’s much sweeter Than it sometimes seems
Playing peekaboo With the dirt below Whimsical petals In the sun glow In pastel shades Pearly white Tiny flowers rise To hug the light Kissing the dark Cold dirt goodbye Embracing the day Reaching for the sky
Tree buds red and plump Reach for skies clear and blue At last spring’s breakthrough
A call to spring A call to better things Where newness blooms From dust and gloom Taking root To grow eternal
She caught herself staring At a desolate tree Peeling bark and leafless branches Reaching Into the cold Crystal blue sky Where puffy clouds floated Aloofly by Unaware of its reach For something Nothing Anything at all She caught herself staring At a cardinal Just starting to sing And found a lifeline Between Fall and spring
Where have all The flowers gone? They’re lost for now Beneath the ground In the dark Their bulbs now sleep Finding rest While buried deep Finding strength For what’s to come Awakened petals Reach for the sun Hope springs eternal Winter’s done
Wake me when it’s spring When the flowers are in bloom When the birds gladly sing When the sun sits higher in the sky And a warm night the moon soon brings
