I saw two geese Going as the crow flies From ground to sky We somehow locked eyes I knew their intention They understood my why They didn’t envy me But I wished that I could fly Carefree Into blue sky

I saw a piece of paper Flat and uninspired I folded it with creases Until my fingers tired I shaped it I named it I kissed it goodbye In my imagination I watched it fly
It unraveled all at once Picked up by the wind Soon it’d be impossible To ever reel it in It had a taste of freedom Up there in the sky It danced with the clouds It now knew how to fly
Freddy the fly Stole the show As politicians bragged About what they know He made his landing On Mike Pence’s head And stayed so long He appeared to be dead But after two minutes And a few seconds more He flew to find Another head to explore
In this great big world We’re living in Where opportunity awaits To lose or win; Know your goals Before you begin Then take a leap of faith Into the wind; Drifting on new wings You’ll learn to fly To where your dreams And goals reside
