Jack’s a shy guy
A bit misunderstood
Though he looks pure evil
Through and through, he’s good
A sinister smile appeared
When they carved his face
With menacing eyes
That he cannot erase
He looks at the children
And sees fear in their eyes
He cannot comfort them
Though he tries and tries
When Sensitive Sally
Feels Jack’s distress
She finds him a costume
And helps him dress
With his evil face covered
Jack’s happiness returns
In response to their smiles
Jack’s candle twinkles and burns
